Personal data privacy is of the utmost importance to People Insight. We therefore maintain a Privacy Policy which covers how we collect, use, transfer, and store personal information captured in your interaction with our company website.

By visiting People Insight’s website, or signing up to receive communications from us, you are accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy. You are therefore encouraged to read this policy before using or submitting information to People Insight.

Principles

  • If we collect your personal data, our policy is to obtain and process it fairly, and to keep and use it only for specific purposes.
  • We are committed to keeping your personal information secure, accurate, up-to-date and complete.
  • We shall hold the minimum information required, and shall only hold it as long as required.

  • People Insight is committed to complying with relevant data protection legislation.
  • This includes the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR, 2021), current EU data privacy directives and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 2016).
  • We are also ISO 27001 certified, ensuring an effective information security management system, using a continual improvement approach (see ‘Data Security’ below.)
  • People Insight is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK and process your data in accordance with the ICO’s guidance.
  • We also communicate our privacy and data protection guidelines to People Insight employees and strictly enforce privacy safeguards within the company. This includes training and awareness on data protection topics and confidentiality agreements with employees. We review data privacy governance measures regularly.

Information we collect directly

Browsing the website

We use third party tracking services that employ cookies to collect aggregated and anonymous data about visitors to our website. This data includes usage and user statistics. See our Cookie Policy for more details.

We collect usage information whenever you interact with our website. Submitting website forms

We have a number of data collection forms on the website. These include the forms used by customers to subscribe to our newsletter and services updates, when downloading our resources or for example completing the “Get in Touch” form.

If you submit your details on these forms, or any other similar form we may implement in the future, we will save your personal details in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, including your download history and purchase history.

You may unsubscribe at any point. Your email address may be retained to ensure you no longer receive communications, unless you choose to actively re-subscribe.

Information submitted via the “Get in Touch” form will be used by our sales support team to make contact in relation to your request. We may use your information to contact you again in future if we believe we have an offer that may be relevant to you.

Subscribing to communications

When you subscribe to the newsletter we record and save your name and email address, whether you are a customer or prospective customer.

People Insight uses Active Campaign to send email newsletters and therefore transfers the information to Active Campaign for processing in accordance with their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We track and store newsletter ‘opens’ and ‘clicks’ on this platform.

We use the information to give us an indication of the popularity of the content and to help us make decisions about future content and formatting. We may also use the information to publish more relevant content to individual newsletter readers in future issues, or to reduce or eliminate messages sent to customers.

You may cease receiving our newsletters at any time by using the Unsubscribe link included in every issue sent. Your email address may be retained to ensure you no longer receive communications, unless you choose to actively re-subscribe.

People Insight Customers

If you wish to become a paying client of People Insight, we will request sufficient additional contact and other information such as billing details from you. This additional information will be used to enable the provision of our contract-based services to you.

We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes, unless you have expressly given us permission to do so (e.g. to register you for events you have requested to attend.)

We display customer testimonials, case studies and other endorsements on our website. With your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name.
