Information we collect directly

 Browsing the website

We use third party tracking services that employ cookies to collect aggregated and anonymous data about visitors to our website. This data includes usage and user statistics. See our Cookie Policy for more details.

We collect usage information whenever you interact with our website. This includes which webpages you visit, what you click on, when you perform those actions, etc. If you arrive at our website from an external source (such as a link on another website or in an email), we record information about the source that referred you to us. We collect information from the device and application you use to access our services. Device data mainly means your IP address, operating system version, device type, system and performance information, and browser type. We use this data in aggregated reports to understand how visitors use the website and to help us improve access to its information and functionality.

Our website includes social media features or widgets, such as the Facebook share button. Use of these features may collect your IP address, detect which page you are visiting on our website, and set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the third party providing these features.

NB Our website may include links to other websites. The privacy practices of those other websites may differ from People Insight’s privacy practices. If you submit personal information to any of those websites, your information is governed by their privacy policy. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Submitting website forms

We have a number of data collection forms on the website. These include the forms used by customers to subscribe to our newsletter and services updates, when downloading our resources or for example completing the “Get in Touch” form.

If you submit your details on these forms, or any other similar form we may implement in the future, we will save your personal details in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, including your download history and purchase history.

You may unsubscribe at any point. Your email address may be retained to ensure you no longer receive communications, unless you choose to actively re-subscribe.

Information submitted via the “Get in Touch” form will be used by our sales support team to make contact in relation to your request. We may use your information to contact you again in future if we believe we have an offer that may be relevant to you.

Subscribing to communications

When you subscribe to the newsletter we record and save your name and email address, whether you are a customer or prospective customer.

People Insight uses Mailchimp to send email newsletters and therefore transfers the information to Mailchimp for processing in accordance with their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We track and store newsletter ‘opens’ and ‘clicks’ on this platform.

We use the information to give us an indication of the popularity of the content and to help us make decisions about future content and formatting. We may also use the information to publish more relevant content to individual newsletter readers in future issues, or to reduce or eliminate messages sent to customers.

You may cease receiving our newsletters at any time by using the Unsubscribe link included in every issue sent. Your email address may be retained to ensure you no longer receive communications, unless you choose to actively re-subscribe.

People Insight Customers

If you wish to become a paying client of People Insight, we will request sufficient additional contact and other information such as billing details from you. This additional information will be used to enable the provision of our contract-based services to you.

We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes, unless you have expressly given us permission to do so (e.g. to register you for events you have requested to attend.)

We display customer testimonials, case studies and other endorsements on our website. With your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial or any other endorsement, please contact our Privacy Manager, whose contact details are included below.
