A quick insight: In this release, the platform gets smarter with new user roles, smoother global use support and clearer visualisations. November’s update improves how lifecycle surveys run, enhances survey styling and upgrades dashboard management. These changes help organisations gather clearer meaningful employee feedback with less friction.
We’re all about continuous listening and continuous improvement here at People Insight. With that in mind, we regularly look at our platform afresh, we take feedback on board and refine the People Insight platform, so it stays clear, reliable and easy to use for every organisation.
In this platform update, we focused on improvements that give you more control over employee surveys, cleaner presentation for participants and stronger support for global teams. The changes are designed to help leaders gather accurate insight, reduce administrative effort and feel more confident when moving from data to action.
Across this update, you will see enhancements to lifecycle listening, internationalisation, dashboards and open text analysis. You will also notice quieter behind the scenes refinements that support stability. Together, all of these updates help create a smoother experience for both survey owners and participants.
Related: What is the employee lifecycle?
This month brings a mix of visible improvements and structural upgrades that help organisations refine their listening approach. The features listed below aim to make survey management easier, reporting more intuitive and ongoing feedback a natural part of daily organisational life.
A lot of organisations want to understand the employee journey with more accuracy. A fixed closing date can limit the value of joiner or leaver feedback because experiences rarely follow tidy timelines. This month, we introduced open-ended lifecycle surveys so responses can be captured at any moment. Participants who join late, leave early or move internally can still give feedback whenever they feel ready.
This approach gives you a more natural flow of data. Instead of waiting for a cycle to complete, managers can check for fresh feedback each week. It becomes easier to spot patterns in onboarding, retention and transitions. In practice, teams can step in early if they see signs of confusion during a new starter’s first few weeks or if exit feedback indicates recurring issues.
Respondents now see a more polished survey introduction. The old “Question 1” format has been replaced by a clear People Insight prefix. It makes the experience more consistent, which is especially important for organisations who run multiple surveys at once.
Clearer labelling helps build trust. Participants want to know who is running the survey and whether it is legitimate, and a familiar branded prefix reassures them, ultimately boosting response rates.
Open text responses often contain some of the most valuable insight. The challenge is to visualise them in a way that is easy to interpret. We have improved the balance of our word cloud view, so words scale more smoothly to match frequency. The new version highlights patterns more accurately and reduces distortion from rare or unusually long words.
Teams who use iDeck for presentations will find these visuals far clearer. The display now works better on large screens, which helps when sharing findings with senior leaders or departments.
We know that quite a few clients want to get more from the platform. The new Organisation Dashboard Admin role gives access to the platform to run their own surveys for their own teams or departments. It’s possible to restrict any sensitive information and limit their view only to their own surveys and to ones they’ve been granted access.
Organisations that work across borders need a system that handles languages and data formats cleanly. This release upgrades internationalisation through support for ISO standard language codes. That means the platform now can handle language variations for example US and UK English, French and Canadian French..
Date formats have also been improved so you can import data from different regions without manual correction. This helps multinational teams manage their data with confidence and reduces time spent troubleshooting small inconsistencies.
Beyond the headline updates, this release includes several behind the scenes enhancements that make the platform feel faster and more stable. Small interface clean ups improve readability across survey pages. The actioning workflow has had minor refinements, so it is easier to record updates and track progress. We also introduced performance improvements across multiple modules which help reduce load times on larger datasets.
These incremental upgrades matter. Many clients run annual surveys with thousands of records. Improvements in stability and speed help those teams work without disruption. Even small adjustments create a smoother experience that supports regular employee listening.
This release builds on our goal to create an employee survey platform that feels simple, responsive and effective. Open ended lifecycle surveys support more natural listening. Clearer survey presentation improves trust. Better word clouds help people understand qualitative feedback faster. Dashboard autonomy gives leaders the control they need. Global improvements help international teams operate without friction.
These updates support meaningful change by making it easier to understand employee sentiment and act with confidence.
