Camelot increased employee engagement by focusing on the areas that mattered most to employees: leadership behaviour, trust, communication, values and recognition. People Insight identified the key drivers of engagement through the “Your Opinion Counts” survey, then Camelot used the findings to shape targeted action across the business.
Camelot improved belief in action by sharing survey results transparently, involving employees in the process and creating visible initiatives linked directly to feedback. Employees saw that leaders were listening, communicating openly and taking practical steps through programmes such as Press Reset and Press Accelerate.
Leadership trust is important because employees need to believe in the direction of the organisation and feel confident that leaders will communicate honestly, especially during change. At Camelot, trust in leadership increased by 14% after leaders became more open, approachable and visible.
Employee surveys help organisations understand whether values are clear, relevant and lived in everyday work. Camelot used survey insight alongside employee involvement, focus groups, leadership communication and values champions to embed new ways of working across the business.
